The Newport String Project gave a grateful audience a chance to glimpse behind the scenes of rehearsals for the Dvorak in America concert. On Saturday January 30th at 3pm, the Chamber Ensemble delved into the nitty gritty of Dvorak’s American String Quartet at the Edward King House. The audience was treated to a lesson about the featured composer – his love of pigeons, his trainspotting hobby, the connection between his American residency and the development of jazz, and much more.
