From 9:00 am to 12:00 pmThursdays Boxing Fitness with Karen (in-person/indoors) at 10am This class is only for those who have taken Boxing Fitness here and have completed an Intermediate Boxing Assessment by the instructor. Throwing punches is a fun way to stay strong and fit at any age, but it is especially beneficial for older adults. Boxing moves are great for cognitive function. Dates: Thursdays; March 6,13,20,27 Silver Age Chair Yoga with Carmen (IN PERSON) at 10:30am Silver Age Chair Yoga is a program designed to meet the special health needs of older adults. Safely participate at your own level of comfort. This is a gentle introduction to chair yoga. Seated chair postures as well as chair supported standing postures will be practiced. Bringing your own mat is required. Dates: Thursdays; March 6,13,20,27 Keep Your Independence With Tommy @Donovan Manor (In Person/indoors) at 11:15am Description: Keep Your Independence through easy, fun movements designed to help you manage: stairs, chairs, cars, walking, balance and mind/body connections. This program is being offered at Donovan Manor in Newport. Dates: Thursdays; March 6,13,20,27 Line Dancing with Officer Scott (in-person/indoors) at 4pm Put on your boogie shoes and enjoy an hour of line dancing with Newport’s Community Police Officer and line dancing enthusiast, Merrie Scott.
