Forum on Transportation for Seniors
Transportation Forum The Alliance For Long Term Care will conduct a special forum on Transportation for seniors at the Edward King House on Wednesday, February 22nd at 10:30 am. The Alliance helps protect the rights of elderly and disabled persons who live in long term care settings and those who receive licensed health care or hospice services in the home. As the Rhode Island Ombudsman for Long Term Care, our staff and volunteers advocate for those who have been victims of abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation. The Edward King House Senior Center has invited the ALTC to facilitate this forum to help field questions and concerns regarding transportation for seniors in our area and statewide. Representatives from Logisticare and other advocates for transportation will be participating in this venue. This opportunity to support a more comprehensive transportation plan for seniors is free and open to all Newport County Seniors, caregivers and professionals working with seniors.
