King House Celebrates Irish Heritage Month
The Edward King House is proud to celebrate Irish Heritage month with two events steeped in music ans storytelling. First, join us for the Annual St. Patrick’s Day Tea where we enjoy the sweet and savory delights of the day with tea served in the King House famous tea cups. The afternoon will be topped off with a special live performance by local piper Liam Geer. This event is scheduled for Friday, March 11th at 1pm. The cost is $5 per person and is open to the public. Later in the month, join us for a live reading of “The Cripple of Inishmaan” by the Newport Celtic Players. This dark comedy by Irish playwright Martin McDonagh is sure to delight its audience with funny yet poignant moments of a time gone by. Scheduled for Thursday, March 24th at 7pm, this reading is free and open to the public with no reservations but seating is limited.
