MLK Center maintains community assistance
GIVEN THE INCREASED NEED IN THE COMMUNITY, THE MLK COMMUNITY CENTER REMAINS OPEN FOR HUNGER SERVICES PROGRAMMING THROUGHOUT THE CORONAVIRUS CRISIS. PRESCHOOL AND AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS ARE CANCELED, AS WELL AS ALL COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING. THE FOOD PANTRY REMAINS OPEN DURING NORMAL HOURS; MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, FRIDAY FROM 10 A.M. TO 2 P.M.
Food Sites for Children
Due to the closure of schools, free “Grab and Go” meals are available for children throughout Rhode Island. New sites are still being added so please check back or contact your school district or charter school for more options. At the vast majority of these sites, anyone aged 18 or under who shows up gets a free meal.

BH Link is a behavioral health facility designed to provide immediate assistance to a person in crisis by providing innovative crisis intervention services, and connecting people to ongoing treatment and care. Services are provided by our professional team of registered nurses, counselors, psychiatrists, phone screeners, and peer specialists. Our clinicians will listen to clients’ concerns and take the necessary steps to get people through their crisis, and help make connections to longer term services if needed.
